Delete your Kdence account

Kdence (developed by George Zoiade, Romania) lets you delete your account and every piece of personal data associated with it, at any time. This page describes the two ways to do that, and exactly what happens on our side when you do.

How to delete your account

Choose whichever path is easier for you.

Option 1 — In the app (fastest)

  1. Open the Kdence app.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Scroll to the Danger Zone section at the bottom.
  4. Tap Delete Account.
  5. Confirm the deletion in the prompt that follows.

Deletion begins immediately. You will be signed out on all devices and the app returns to its anonymous, empty state — as if freshly installed. The action is irreversible.

Option 2 — By email (if you no longer have Kdence installed)

  1. Send an email to privacy@k-dence.app with the subject line "Delete my account".
  2. Include the email address associated with your Kdence account so we can locate your data. If you signed in with Google, include the Google email.
  3. We will confirm deletion by reply within 30 days, as required by GDPR Article 12(3) and Romanian Law 190/2018.

Anonymous users — those who used Kdence without ever creating an account — have no persistent server-side record beyond an ephemeral session and don't need to email us. Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage from your device settings removes all local data.

Delete only specific items (without deleting your account)

You don't have to delete your whole account to remove specific data. Every item you create in Kdence can be deleted individually from the app's normal UI, and deletion is immediate on both the device and our Supabase database:

Additionally, you can stop the collection of usage analytics at any time without affecting anything else: Settings → Privacy → toggle "Share usage data" off. The change takes effect immediately — no more events are collected. (Analytics events already in flight or already stored on our servers are removed when you delete your account; see the table below.)

If you'd rather ask us to delete specific data on your behalf, email privacy@k-dence.app with the subject "Partial data deletion request" and tell us exactly what to remove. Same 30-day response window as any other data-rights request.

What we delete and when

The table below matches the deletion behaviour described in the Privacy Policy, section 8.

Data category When it is deleted
Tasks, goals, subtasks, categories, focus sessions, weekly reflections, profile fields (display name, work schedule, improvement areas) Immediately and permanently, on both the device and our Supabase database. Irreversible.
Analytics events queued locally on your device Immediately, together with the app's local database.
Firebase Analytics record The anonymous identifier the events were collected under is reset, severing the events from you. Google's data-retention controls handle the rest.
Firebase Crashlytics diagnostic reports Retained up to 90 days from the moment they were recorded, per Firebase's default retention. Not linked to your account after deletion.
Authentication record (Supabase Auth) Deleted immediately. We keep nothing back.
